What is the Senior Showcase?  It is part SHOW and part ART GALLERY — focusing on showcasing the talents of our RIO Seniors. Formerly known as the Fashion Show, this PTSA fundraiser has been revamped to include senior artists, photographers, and performers (singers, theater, musicians) as well as the traditional model and dance routines led by professional and student choreographers.
How does the Senior Showcase raise money for the RIO PTSA?  We raise money through community sponsor donations, advertisements in the program, and ticket sales.  We are hoping to raise at least $20,000.00 this year!
When is the show?  The official show date is Saturday, March 28, 2020.  In the past, we have had two performances on this day.
Do I have to attend rehearsals?  Yes, rehearsals are mandatory for all models, dancers, and performers.  Rehearsal dates are 3/15, 3/22, 3/26, and 3/27 (exact times TBD but should last 2 to 3 hours each).  Senior artists/photographers will not have to attend rehearsals but will need to be available for set up on Friday, March 27.
How do I sign up?  Your first opportunity will be at the Senior Picnic on September 8th.  We will have permission slips available.  We will also have a sign-up meeting by the end of September. (date TBD)  There will be a due date for sign-ups.  We are looking to have at least 45+ performers for the show and at least 40+ senior artists.  We also looking for seniors to help with graphic design and marketing. We will have all forms available on the Senior Showcase link on the RIO website and through the REMIND app.
Who do I contact if I’m interested in being in or helping with the show (this includes parents)?  Please contact dvictor@sanjuan.edu.
